The Hill of Tara is a sacred Irish site, which, in ancient Irish mythology was revered as a dwelling place for the gods and also as a portal to a world of eternal joy and abundance, where no-one ever aged.

It is probably best known as the seat of the High Kings of Tara and The Stone of Destiny was the inauguration stone for these Kings. 142 Kings are said to have reigned in the name of Tara and legend has it that when the Stone of Destiny is touched by a true King it will cry out!

Tara has deep spiritual significance and some deem that it was in fact the ancient capital of Atlantis and that Ireland was the kingdom of Atlantis itself.
