TRUST THE PROCESS
Trusting the process is to allow what is… to be what it is. It’s a recognition and reverence of the higher order.
The opposite of trusting the process is to control the process with ego and fear. You control the process when you:
Rush through it
Push the process forward with anger and frustration
Manipulate situations or people to get specific results
Use anger, shame, blame, and guilt to change things, people, behaviors
Have high expectations or attachment to the outcome
Stop the process with indecision and inaction
Get in your own way, insisting you know a better way
Not trusting the process, constantly second-guessing the process
Trusting the process takes work. It’s far easier said than done, it means that we have to let go of control, expectations and attachments. Let go of judgment, shame and blame of the self and others during the ‘dark times’. Learn how to relax at any moment, take effective action when needed or do nothing when that is most helpful.
The difference between a ‘trustworthy’ process vs. an ‘untrustworthy’ distortion
Does trust mean I should do nothing when the process goes ‘wrong’?
When to trust it, when not to
When is it OK to start taking control?
What if the trust only makes the situation worse?
If I don’t like the process, what should I do?
How can I get out of my own way?
How can I stop feeling so much anger and frustration?
How can I stop the blame and judgement when things go ‘wrong’?
XI Principle - Observe, Pause & Expect - How does it work?
Mas will help define what Trust the Process means, instilling in you that no matter what comes along, the process will teach you what you need to learn if you are willing to observe, pause, and expect that things will unfold for the highest good.
