Heading into the holiday season, I felt compelled to address the stress felt by so many during this time of year. In this podcast I provide the deeper underlying reasons of what causes stress and angst during the holidays and expose what has twisted the tradition of joy in gifts and gathering.
Below are 5 practical tips you can begin using now to enjoy this holiday season:
Tip #1 - Pinpoint who you currently are—with all that is pure and impure about you. Then define who you really want to be.
Tip #2 - Imagine limitless possibilities where you could redesign your life, including your childhood, to what could have been. Now picture what possibilities would be available for you right here and right now.
Tip #3 - Live, breathe and act out your best possible self from these possibilities. As you enter family or other social circles, watch your old values in comparison to your new values and possibilities.
Tip #4 - When any stressor on money or gifting arise, don’t buy it and don’t buy into it. Be true to yourself.
Tip #5 - No matter what you’re going through—positive or negative—anchor onto something within your body to stay centered and present. This is your best gift to the world and to yourself.
