Distortions | Back to Basics

What are distortions? Distortions are how you see your reality. So, what does that mean?

There is only one reality that exists in time and space. As you learn more, you'll understand why space-time is essential.

SEASON 2, EPISODE 15: XI DEFINES: SPACETIME PART 1, PART 2, PART 3

It isn't psychology, it isn't a belief mechanism, it isn't religion – it's just straight-out science. So, there's only one reality that exists; the closer you are to that reality of purity, the closer you are to the grander version of who you are (also known as your pure presence, limitless self, spirit, higher self, higher consciousness, or The Force, as Yoda would put it).

Imagine that your pure presence is a light surrounding your physical body - and your body is reflecting that light. Between the two are layers of distortions (or filters) of the version of who you are originally, your pure presence.

The first distortion that we would have from your pure presence is of time and space. The next  is you being human, there's a filter for being human – if you didn't have that filter, you wouldn't know how to create your body; if you had a filter of a squirrel, you would render yourself as a squirrel. That's how it works.

These are all filters on how you see or experience this reality here. The next significant layer would be your gender and then your experiences. These are all global settings.

So, there's a filter, within a filter, within a filter, and it comes down to your life experience here. For example, if you were abused when you were a child, you would see your reality through that abusive filter from that point on. No matter whether it's a good filter or it's a bad filter, that's not the point; if you had the most joyous experience when you were a child, you would see the rest of your life through that filter. With every experience, you create more filters or more distortions. It doesn't mean good or bad. It just means that it's a distortion from your pure essence, or the purest version of who you are.
